Lock post for editing

Post by ~Chris on January 27th 2009, 1:03 am

Sometimes when I edit a users post to remove a link, or content, or bold, or whatever, they often edit it straight back to what it was in the first place.

I am suggesting that when you edit something out of a users post, you can then click a button that says something like 'lock post for editing', and this will disable the member from being able to edit it straight back.

oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh (and so on so forth)

Thats a yes from me.

I love this idea, I hate it when someone edits some person's post, and they edit it back, and this would be just perfect to prevent it

Well, i voted yes, tho my opinion is :

If and when member`s re-edit their post again, thats opposing an administrator / moderator = breaking the rules. Admins and mods should have the last word and no member should cross that.

I voted yes on this because it's quite useful in some cases.

Well.....I don't know.
You can already chose the length of time you allow members to edit posts anyways. As well as choosing whether you give the members the permission to edit posts.

If and when member`s re-edit their post again, thats opposing an administrator / moderator = breaking the rules. Admins and mods should have the last word and no member should cross that.
I think admins should deal with their members effectively if such circumstances occur.

But it doesn't let you know whenever a post is edited. If I edit a post, and lets say, a week later, they edit it back, I'm not to know, and it would be very hard to remember to check posts you've edited frequently.
