Why did you choose forumotion?

Post by Darren1 on February 7th 2009, 3:13 am

First topic message reminder :

Why did YOU Guest chose forumotion, over some other companies?

I myself, chose forumotion over other companies because of:
The simplicity of their admin panel,
Many friends recommendation (and I recommend forumotion now myself)
The amount of support offered here on the support forum, coinciding with the time it takes to receive support.

Because it was used by the forum me and others left due to a control freak of an admin.

We then made our own and have lived everly happy after

I chose ForuMotion because they werent stating what is forbidden to have on forums on the first page ( i was about to have hack material Razz )

If they were, i d probably go with FreeForums.Org

So i started. I put Advanced mode in Administration Panel immediately and started learning and doing stuff. Now ? I honestly think it CANT get any better than this. And if it can - it costs a lot of money.

ForuMotion simply rocks, its fact. I dont know why people only complains over it.

Re: Why did you choose forumotion?

Post by Rok on February 16th 2009, 4:19 am

Well, I started ForuMotion a long time ago (since 2 years or less)..

I was going good with a fun forum from Lefora, but it came to me that Lefora was kind of crappy; so I started off with other forum providers. I came across SynthaSite, but they weren't that good as well. I found Vbulletin, but it seemed too boring. I decided to make a site -besides of a forum- with FreeWebs, but that pretty much sucked and took forever to make. I kept searching for forum providers, then I found this interesting one on Google called ForuMotion; it seemed like an interesting forum, so I kept with that and quit my Lefora forum.
Now, I'm successful with 2 new members a day with an overall of 350 members or so, and I'm doing great! It felt like I got out of prison.

I really enjoy ForuMotion. Also, if it wasn't for the great Support forum, I wouldn't be here on this forum.

Re: Why did you choose forumotion?

Post by venusrose on February 20th 2009, 6:34 am

I find that there's so much flexibility in the look and control of the forum (as oppose to using other services).

My favorite parts about forumotion is...
1.)Personalized profile. This is my favorite.
2.)Flexibility in the look and creativity of the forum
3.)Better Security (in many ways) Very Happy
4.)Ease of control/organization
5.)Forum chat box

The only con I find is...
limited amount of private messages. I have 300 pms saved in an old host but all of them get deleted over time in forumotion. I cannot refer back to old pms, nor can other members. That is the only con (so far).

I chose Forumotion over the other free forum hosts because of the number of features that it includes, the simplicity of the Administration Panel, and the 24/7 support forum that is available.

Re: Why did you choose forumotion?

Post by Evanna on March 3rd 2009, 9:58 am

Well, when I first created a forum, I didn't pay very much attention on which company I chose. =) I just saw a forum and there was the link which leaded me where I could get my own. I just created it and then it stayed the way it was for a couple of months. Then I suddenly was interested in it (still dunno why, but I'm glad of that decision) and started working on it.

But right now, when I'm a little bit more experienced, I like it the most. The reasons are mostly already mentioned. Having a forum is easy around here. I haven't had any problems and I can do all I need or want to.

I too, had a forum on freewebs, now calles webs where I still have my homepage, and even with the new features they have added, is no way near as good as forumotion.

Here you have more customization, better control panel where you can add more features, such as the personalized profiles.

I think my forum is pretty much ready now, although more will be added in the future, I am sure, and changed too.

I found out about forumotion in the open forums on webs, by the way. :wouhou: thumright
