Why did you choose forumotion?

Post by Darren1 on February 7th 2009, 3:13 am

First topic message reminder :

Why did YOU Guest chose forumotion, over some other companies?

I myself, chose forumotion over other companies because of:
The simplicity of their admin panel,
Many friends recommendation (and I recommend forumotion now myself)
The amount of support offered here on the support forum, coinciding with the time it takes to receive support.

forumotion is based on phpbb system and it's very important i think. you can check phpbb offical site, from the footer links of your forums, everyday many mod developers and techs are working so hard to make new things possible.

normaly phpbb is a free opensource software, but good host is not. with forumotion host comes also free and with all its limits (like you don't have permissions go to phpmyadmin of your phpbb board, add sql tables for new mods to your database, control your download-upload files and attaches, or don't have an automod option for modx installs...) it gives many of your likes together.

host owners know, how important and kind of tricky-hard to add a simple mod to their phpbb forums, like here in fm we have skype option, but normally in phpbb3 boards it's a mod and needs many changes in your templates and sql table...

so thanks techs here in fm a lot for their great efforts again...

Just like to say I am happy with forumotion, good job. thumleft
The forum is easy to use, works well and looks good.
I have had forums hosted by myself in the past and unless your good with php it is hard tedious work updating and applying add ons to the forum. Forumotion takes care of all this for you and running the forum is a breeze.

To be honest I just came back for the laughs!

Man there is some funny stuff here, not to mention the replies given here to some buggies.

Like this is funny, this guy should be a comedian:

Re: Why did you choose forumotion?

Post by Jessika on May 24th 2009, 10:00 am

Main reason was because of heaps of people that play habbo.. not sure if you heard that.. have a fansite with forums or a front site page. I wanted to join in and make my own site for people to use and give their opinions and all etc. This site was free so I was quite surprised, there was more features on here than I thought since it was free.

For once I get to own something for others working for me instead me working for others. Forumotions is just like every other forums but you have pre made avatars, backgrounds, skins, etc.

Since I never know anything about html and coding this is quite easy to use. It's heaps great for starters haha.
