Post by shivam on February 15th 2009, 2:53 pm

DOnt you think their should be something by which

The new member has optional setting to write refferal name in registration form

And whose name is written should be prvided +10 marks and so on !!!

This could also be showed on members profile

Yes that would be great... NOT.

Yey for the guy who got +10 points...

Voted no.

If we are talking about referral system, i d rather see "invite" system first.

it can already be done,

Admin panel, User and Groups, Profiles,

Put the name as Referrer
The description as: Who referred you?
Put yes for Obligatory
and put any member could modify it

Voted no

But you won't get a graph about who refers the most...

you can just check who has the most and who has a the least and make a calculation.

Rather have a invite system like Taro said

Thunder, that would just take forever to outcome.

Overall, I have a thread with an objective chart displaying the members that have reffered users and how many they reffered.

Hmm, let me think

VB?? I thought this is FORUMOTION scratch I must be wrong...im just going to go and change free forum holsters now, and I don't mind paying a little for quality, even tho VB has free forums Dawa

InVisionboard.com Screw them!

I rather ForuMotion much more! luv

Useful = Yes
How many people would use this 2/10 = USELESS

Would I personally use this = NO

Is this necessary = NO

Has this been suggest before? = YES

Has it been shot down? = Unknown, no-one has been able to confirm this has of yet ...

Do I want ForuMotion to be like VB = NO

Is this really useful = NO.

My vote = NO.

i have to agree with Darren, it would be interesting to see that, but thats not that important... if you have users that would get points for being active (spamming), and reffering other members it would be hell... voted no also

Calculation is other thing
By doing like that a person can change his / her refferal name afterwards too

This can be harmful for our calculation

I like this suggestion and could have really used it when I had a contest for members to help me boost membership.

Problem is that with all these forums, people have really weird logins and the spellings are hard to remember. If it is tied to the registered email, then what email did they use to register.

Great suggestion, see limitations, voted yes!

Would REALLY Like the the invite system also.

This would be great, but the referal pages should be made for each user on your site.
