Black/Cyan Rank Icons

Just a few rank icons which I made in my spare time. I was playing around with some settings and ended up with a design that didn't look all that bad to me, so I figured I might as well share 'em. Here we go, anyway:

Meh, I dunno if they're much good, but feel free to use them if you like Smile

(Oh, and I have the .PSD files on hand as well, so I can make custom ones as well if you want.)

EDIT: I think I'm gonna shrink the text on the banned rank bar just a tad. I hadn't meant for it to stand out that much Razz

EDIT2: There we go; should be a bit less flashy now.

I seem to be the only one who doesnt like them at all... In my books thats classified as a "no go".

♣ Too thin
♣ Bad font
♣ Text is too big
♣ Banned is really hardly visible
♣ Light blue in the middle is too much centered at the middle...
♣ I like that you made many different titles of them, most people is so lazy they only make 6-8 or so....
♣ I dont like ranks with uppercase letters

Thats my opinion, cant help it Sad

Thanks for the critique ^_^ Valid points there, but this batch can't really be changed in most of those ways anymore, so I'll 'em that in mind for the next ones I make Smile

No, although now that you mention it, the design is fairly similar. (I'm a huge fan of cyans and light blues, though, so I dunno Razz

Seriously though, you're not the first person to tell me that. Guess I just have weird tastes in text styles Razz

I'll keep that in mind and try to make a more aesthetic effect for the text next time; I'm too lazy to change it all up now Wink

Anyway, as I said, I'm a bit new to making bars of any type, even though I do have a certain level of experience in Photoshop. I've mainly been making sigs, but I suppose the concepts for a sig and a rank icon are somewhat different Razz

Meh, I doubt I'd do that, for a couple reasons. For one, I suck at GIF animations. Also, I hate how the GIF file format degrades the quality of an image so much when compared to a clear one, such as PNG or a JPEG with a low compression rate. So don't hold your breath for any animations Razz
