Location column back in the members list

Ok i have noticed a few members asking how to put the location column back in the members list.It seems the last update has changed that and removed it from the members list column.So i will start a thread to suggest the return of the location within the members list column as well as it still continue to remain displayed under your avatar.

so that's my suggestion. may be in the next update this can be arranged.

It is very much needed, especially when members are looking for other members in their location (by sorting the memberlist accordingly)

It is very difficult to look for the location of members in their profile or posts rather than in the memberlist, and at least in our forum - it is more needed that 'humor'...

If possible - allow admins to set the columns list in the memberlist through the admin panel and solve the issue all together.

I say ditto to what adg posted.
Yes, I know I can change the name humor to location and go through the trouble of changing everyone's info, but that can be long and tedious.
Also, maybe at a later date, I would want something other than location to show, I would like the ability to choose which field appears in the memberslist.

Yeah, I think this would be nice to have this put back up for the profiles by default. If this doesn't happen then I think we'll just have to create the field ourselves.

Moderators - do you not have these Suggestions topics as "Polls" any more? where we can just place a vote and post a comment?

I strongly agree with adg and Carryn. Having the locations column is important and very useful at my Forum too. I don't understand why it was removed at the Upgrades. Mine has been replaced with a "Loisirs" column - which is of no use really - as members never bother completing that in their Profile. (I understand it is French for Leisure - but my Forum is English)
Wierdest thing is - the location column fortunately still appears in the Usergroup lists.

Hope it can be changed back to how it was.

I run a Gold Detecting Forum and we had Location so members could see if there were any others nearby as it realtes to all over Australia. Now it has been replaced by Humour. Well I am not laughing or is any one else.

It is a good forum and the creators are to be congratulated, but to make these changes without reference to the administrators is not right. The best option is to give us the option to have the columns we need, or just put it back the way it was, for this is one of the reasons we chose this in the first place.

I agree, this is crap, my members arent happy at all.

Its hard to explain why things get worser with an update

We Admins should be able to choose freely what fields to display in the member list

I'm also puzzled with the decision of taking out the ability to search members by location. It was a very useful info which has now been replaced with rather non-sensical columns such as "favourite song" in my forum. Why would we want to sort our members by that?

I'm a million percent in agreement with bringing the "location" field back to the Memberlist.
