Badge System for user Profiles

First topic message reminder :

I was wondering if its possible to have a badge system on all the user profiles. Just as we have a space for friends there will be space for "My Badges". Now how the user will get these badges : Some examples :

1. When a user gets registered, he will get a badge.
2. He posts above 100 posts he will get a badge.
3. Some custom badges as well.

All these badges will be represented by images. Of course the way to get those badges and way to get them should be customizable by the site admin.

1st go in to users & groups - users - profiles

2nd go to special feilds and go on to to
+

3rd choose the type as a images list

4th name the opion mood

5th check both of the preveiw opions

6th check member can edit this himself


7th upload the images you want to use to a images host site

8th click on the + and paste the links from the host site

and if you are dumb you have to click save at the end (thats a great idea)

This topic is about badges, not mood. My images had mood because I already had that, but I added how badges would look. There is no efficient way of doing badges where you could hand certain badges to certain members, and they would display a certain amount on their messages, and all on their profile. No need to talk downly to anyone.

He suggested badges, they're basically awards (and a great idea).

We can already add it ourselves... But it'll be nice to have it somehow easier. xP

Voted yes, I think it could be a valuable feature.

Don't be lazy, this is easy!
1) Make "text zone" profile field, set to profile, not required, and moderator edit.
2) Make award images.
3) Put the goddang images in the member's profile!

Yeesh, not so hard. Normally there are suggestions for things that can be done but are hard/annoying/just plain handy to have a feature. This would be a waste of forumotions time. If you know how to create a field and how to use img tags, you can do this yourself.

I do this with dozens of badges, not a problem. I do have a lot of members, but I just edit badges manually as it isn't too hard at all and having automatic ones would be a waste of time to figure out.

No, you're wrong.

It may be easy, but that does not mean that automatic will be a waste of time. Keeping on top of post counts or topic counts can be difficult for large forums.

Yes, that is the only part of it I agree with... But for that particular award, what I do is have a rank for the certain number of posts, and get to the award in time, though I also have it so that when someone becomes a higher rank they just tell an admin.
