Hire Staff Forum
I think there should be a forum where users can submit resumes if they are looking for a moderator/administrator job.
Admins of other forums can post if they have positions open and any willing members can post their resume. This makes it easier to get staff members.

Re: Hire Staff Forum
Resumes don't will not help us pick staff members at all. It doesn't provide the results of what we are looking for. It is also a waste in doing them as you are not getting paid or anything.

Re: Hire Staff Forum
I would never hire a staff member based on resume. Voted No.
Its either got to be friends whom i know personally, or people who have the same interests as mine hence have joined my forum. Over a period of time, their attitude towards the forum, will be the deciding factor in choosing the staff.

It would be a waste of time. You could hire anyone based on a resume. Could be a spammer or anything!

Re: Hire Staff Forum
Hi King of Sports, Members are already allowed to recruit staff via their forums presentation here on the support forum. So creating an additional section for resumes seems pointless as they can contact these admins directly in regards to hiring staff from there Forums presentations anyway.

Re: Hire Staff Forum
Honestly, I'm not going to say no, because I like the idea.
Then again, you'd hear other members complaining to the staff, how other members that they hired destroyed their forums...
More exposure..
Most members that advertise in those sections don't say that they're hiring staff. ( I can be wrong because I don't take a look much )

What was the point of bumping an ancient topic just to say you voted no? Re: Hire Staff Forum
NO , i saw already promotion forums , this is for help , problems with your forum.
Re: Hire Staff Forum
Wow, tension between Nessa & Cal
I'm voting no; Ill explain.
1) This is a support forum, YES that may include "helping" someone to get staff, however, I personally feel that you should do the work on your own, you can already ADVERTISE & ASK for staff in the promotions section
I personally feel that in order to hire someone, you need to see them in action, not by their resume alone.... I sort through enough of them on a weekly bases
There are hundreds of promotion forums, which all allow you to flexibly promote your staff needs & wants too, an example of this is ForuMansion
We here at forumotion support have one goal in mind, optimal support and we can't guarantee that if we have ourselves side tracked from our main goal; support!
Plus how would we moderate it?
Would we have a new group? "advertising Moderators" .... that just doesn't flow haha
Using the GMods? They work hard enough as is
Hire more staff, hire whom?
For the above reasons, and more which I'm sure you can think of, I'm voting no

Re: Hire Staff Forum
Great idea. But what if someone wanted to hack/harm this forum, and he made an awesome resume and you thought he was great, until you hire him. He then goes on to forum destruction!
I think it's still best if Admin's pick the users, but this forum would still be cool to have.

Let the members post their opinions about this suggestion.

I am not sure of this because every forum have different subject and we are not sure if these people who pass their resumes are knowledgeable enough in that specific theme or subject ...
