Unable to contact a banned member Empty Unable to contact a banned member

Post by Master Marc August 19th 2009, 5:32 pm

Hello once again everyone,
Here's my suggestion, Cool

When an administrator or a moderator bans a member of the forum, when the member's ban is pending, it should also disable the ability to contact the member while he or she is banned. [ Private Messages and Visitor Messages Disabled While Ban Is Pending ]

What do you think about this suggestion?

You see, I knew someone would ask me that , Unable to contact a banned member Redface

  • When the banned member is unbanned, they will have a clear pm box, not spam asking, "what were you banned for?"
  • It is another way to notify that someone is banned other than the rank. [ Banned ]
  • What's the point seeing a member that is banned and you can still send him/her a pm or a vm?

Does that answer your question Kinko?

Only administrators can close member's pm boxes.

Plus, you really want to keep track of banned member's pm box if your forum is really popular with loads of disobeying members?

And you can't even track them down if they are unbanned, so you can't manually do all the work...
