Google Adds

Post by Naki on September 1st 2009, 6:28 am

Having i consideration that we are asking too much from the staff i hope this idea will not bother you !?
What you think google adds to be shown in colon 1 or colon 3 not at the header ?
If google adds will be shown in mentioned colons there the forum will have a pretty better look.
Thanks in advance

I would prefer no ads at all.

I'm saying footer as there are stuff in the sidebars, so I don't want ads pushing it around.

//while typing this:
There are ads that already appear in the sidebars.

It would be good if they were moved to the bottom like on this website http://debrief.commanderbond.net/ LINK ONLY USED AS AN EXAMPLE NOT TO ADVERTISE.

The ads are fine where they are. We already have control over whether members view ads, so if you want you only need it that guests see them. Forumotion is a free service and needs to earn back some of its money somewhere that it spends on servers and maintenance.

A better suggestion rather than moving the ads would have been to make the adds tie in with your board style CSS like other free hosts do, rather than stand out so much.

Also the polls should be a Yes/No option.

In the poll only add Yes and No options. There is not a 'No' option so it is like we have to vote yes Laughing

I think the Google Ads help provide us with a free Forumotion Forum. Anyone who clicks on those links will raise money for Forumotion, so they can pay for the site every year. Taking away these Ads might harm Forumotion, in a way what can take away this site, and the other FM sites with it.

Isn't taking away the Ads for just users good enough?

Admin Control Panel >> General >> Activate Ads >> Guest.

Doing this will result in Ads only showing for guests, which is not a problem at all.

Thanks to all for ideas. I think you didn't get the meaning or may be my english is poor in explonation.
What i said is google adds are wellcome but the showing of them is a little bad looking in header in horizontal line and i opened the pool if they are possible to be moved in colon 1 or 3 and in vertical way will be loking much more better.
Thanks i think u get now
