How do I make a forum post 'sticky'?? Empty How do I make a forum post 'sticky'??

Post by lightwrker October 30th 2009, 4:45 pm

I feel really silly about asking this. But I have looked everywhere and I cannot see how to make a post in my forum 'sticky.' Embarassed

There is the post. And under it is a bar which says "Options" but doesn't open or show anything else, and immediately under that is the calendar and the polling section.

I feel like something is missing. I should be able to do Announces, Stickies. I am the Admin and I do have permission.

Help, please.

Thank you for the quick reply. But there is NOTHING close to OPTIONS.

It is just a word on that bar. Nothing opens up. There are no words close to it.

It just snugs right up to the Calendar under it. So there is NO plus sign or anything else.

Am I supposed to have done something in the back office to initiate these options? I do have permission to do this.

Thank you again for trying to help me. It is much appreciated!

Any other suggestions??

Do you see the image in the first post? I can see it from here. I hope you can. This is a screenshot of my forum and how there is no + or anything by the Option! I don't know how to do one any clearer than this.

Please let me know what else i can do to show it to you better than above.

Thank you SO much for your help!

I really appreciate it!

Ahh, this skin. This skin has issues with this feature. You will need to reinstall the skin.
Infact a few of the user uploaded skins have this problem.

Thank you for your response, Sanket. I am fairly new here. Is it difficult to reinstall one's skin?? When I was first setting up the forum, I did something with the code and I lost everything. I had a very hard time getting ANY kind of skin back. I had to do a "temporary skin," I think that's what it was called. And that finally worked.

I am live and active now. I don't want to do anything wrong. But I do want to have this kind of functionality. Any advice you can offer would be very appreciated!!

Thank you very much for your time!
