Tutorial How to use the templates?

How to use the templates?

Through the modifications of your forum templates, you can modify the structure of your forum, create extra effects, or add things that couldn't be done without these modifications. This list is obviously not exhaustive, but modifying the templates gives you so many possibilities - you are only held back by your imagination.

How to use the templates? LogoCareful!
Modifying the templates requires a basic knowledge of HTML and template editing.
Moreover, you must be the founder to modify the templates.

Where do I edit the Templates?

Admin Panel> Display>How to use the templates? Type_li Templates

The templates are subdivided in 8 sections :

      Modifying a template

Before you edit a template, stop and think about easier methods of achieving the same effect: CSS, Javascript etc...

To modify a template, click on How to use the templates? Editer.

Once edited and saved, you can see :
template_name
Description
default Value
Waiting How to use the templates? New_window_black
How to use the templates? AjouterHow to use the templates? Editer How to use the templates? Supprimer

Click on How to use the templates? New_window_blackto check what your modifications will look like.

Click on How to use the templates? Ajouterto publish the template.
In this case, this template will now be visible like :
template_name
Description
Default Value
Published
How to use the templates? Editer  How to use the templates? Supprimer

Click on How to use the templates? Supprimerto delete your modifications and to restore the default settings. You should now see this:
template_name
Description
Default Value
..........
How to use the templates? Editer

If you went wrong and want to start again, click on "Default Value" to start again with the default settings

Note :
The four versions of PhpBB2, PhpBB3, Invision, and PunBB templates are completely independent and don't interact between them.  If you have personalized your templates on a version and want to change it to another, you'll get the default templates of this other version and you'll be free to modify them. If finally you want to come back to the first version, you'll get back your personalized templates you left.

Hi,

is anyone interested to help me because I am not so skill in html and CSS coding?

I want to modify the Recent Topics template. It currently appears by the following way on my forum:

Recent Topics
»
Topic name

»
Link to another topic

And now I want to put, under the topic's name, the date it was posted and the topic poster, for example:

Recent Topics
