Clearer General Discussion Rules

Post by Doctor Inferno on November 16th 2009, 8:08 am

I read the rules clearly stating that the general discussions forum is "A section where you can ask technical questions that may interest everyone".

So I started a topic on what are the good t-shirt printing services... And it got locked (God knows why). This is not the first time.

So my suggestion here, the rules should be clearer, are we actually allowed to "ask technical questions that may interest everyone", or are not not allowed to? Also, the term "random nature" should be defined more properly (is my topic really that random?).

Hi Doc, I kind of agree certain things should be made clearer on the rules in there, to an extent... But it also states...

What General Discussions ARE NOT

- A space where you ask technical-related personal questions which the
answer can be found on Google or on specialized websites
(ex : I have
problems with my antivirus // I would like to buy a new screen, what do
you recommend me?) Moderators and members are not specialized in
computer stuff and they can't answer you accurately.

My guess is that's why your topic was locked Doc. Smile Well yeah, but its kinda random, since it can easily be searched elsewhere ...( But BTW: I Recommend Vista Print.. It's where I make all my T-Shirt & Pens and stuff, pretty nice stuff! Wink )

More over, I have always thought the Rules there needed a lil refining as well though.
So I vote Yes! Razz

I agree with you, the rules should be made more clearer. Every topic I have created in the General Section gets locked. I don't even know what we are aloud to post about in there...

In that case then, we're not aloud to make topics in there because every question can be found on Google
