As the forum tag line suggests, the forum is all about web designing and coding. The main purpose of this forum is to provide a nice place for web design related discussion and help related to coding HTML and CSS pages.

Basically, we help our members to code their own website templates with HTML and CSS. We give them advice related to many issues like how to write standard compliant code, how to make pages display perfectly in all browsers etc. We provide tips and tutorials that will be helpful for all members whether an absolute beginner or an advanced coder.

In addition, like all other forums, we have a general chat and games section where you can relax, chat with your friends, tell jokes, share interesting stuff, play games and have fun.

This is a well moderated forum and a great place to discuss about web designing and coding. If you are a noob, you can start learning coding HTML and CSS from right here and if you are an advanced coder, this is a perfect place for you to discuss about coding issues and share your creations with others. If you are not interested in web design at all, you can still have fun in this forum in general chat and games zone.

Here we come with a cool new idea for the October 2010 contest. It is called "Become a Pilot Contest" Razz

In this contest you have to fly a helicopter....in a flash game Razz

Yes, we have hosted a flash game for this contest.

What are you required to do?
Simple. Just go to the Helicopter Game page and play the game. You can control the helicopter with the left mouse button. The game is very easy and addictive.

You have to score as high as you can. The farther you go, the higher your score goes.

How to submit scores?
To submit your score, you have to take the screen shot of the game page when the final score is displayed. You are required to post the screen shot in this topic. Please note that the final score will be displayed when your helicopter will crash. It will be displayed for very short time span so be ready to hit the "Print Screen" button to grab the moment.

Last date to submit the scores is 30th October Wink

The prize: As always, we'll give a cool and premium quality website template to the winner. This time we are not going to feature any template for the contest. But, the winner will be offered a page of his choice from the WebArtz Shop!

Note: Winner is allowed to choose a template which is not costlier than 15 USD.

"Say No to Ripping/Copying"
A WebArtz Revolution begins

Hello Everyone Very Happy

Everyone is well aware of Copying/Ripping someone else's work on the internet. Its way too frequent in this world wide web. However, knowledge sharing is a different thing & ripping it without the consent of the owner of the work is just plain cheating. We at WebArtz completely strive to share the knowledge than to let members/users copy a work directly.

Hence, this time we wanted to do something to avoid such things to happen in the future. Be, it copying of stuff from WebArtz or from any other site for that matter. We know, it won't make a huge difference but its our little step towards stopping people from Ripping.

Now, what all are we potentially going to do under this Program?

If we find any member/user of WebArtz asking for support & we are aware that his site contains any ripped material. We will directly be Locking & sending his thread to the basket. So if the member still wants to get help from us, he should convince us by removing the copied material as well as promising us not to do it again.

We will be giving out a badge which looks like this to all partner websites who have not copied anything. Its a token of our appreciation.

Also the list of websites which have been awarded with these badges will be listed here. This link can be found in the about us page on the navigation bar.

Members can report RipOff's via PM's to any of the staff members. It need not be related to just WebArtz but anything in general on forumotion forums for example.
Each WebArtz RipOFF will earn you 20 points.

If a single member reports 5 different websites which have copied WebArtz then he is entitled to receive a special award added to his profile.

So guys, Say Not to Ripping/Copying !

If you want to get your forum approved that it has not copied stuff, just PM either me or ankillien with your forum URL.

Here we come with a cool new idea for the November 2010 contest. It is A Drawing Contest!

What are you required to do?

In this contest you have to make a drawing. You can make a drawing about any of the four topics...

Global Warming
Peace
Stop War
Removal of Corruption

The drawing should be made on a plain white paper with a pencil. You are not allowed to use colors or anything like that. Once the drawing is made, you are required to draw small WebArtz logo somewhere on the page or just write "WebArtz Forum" on the page so that we can make sure if it is drawn by yourself Smile

How to submit the drawing?
To submit you have to take picture of your drawing with a camera, upload the pic and post it here. Simple Razz

Last date to submit the scores is 20th November Wink

After 20th November submissions will be closed and a voting thread will be started. Members will vote for their favorite creation in that thread.

I am feeling so happy to announce the celebration week for the First Birthday of WebArtz Forum. Yes, we will celebrate this whole week (7th to 15th Dec).

We have some nifty plans for the celebration week Cool

WebArtz has got a complete new look New logo + New theme.
We are now on punBB version. Hope you like the new simplistic theme. We are thankful to those who helped us making this theme. We will keep working on the theme to make it better, unique and feature rich.
On the birthday, we'll give away 30 Points to all our members (with which you can buy cool web templates form our shop!). To claim the points, you need to post in this topic. Only those who post in this topic will receive points. Point donation will be closed after 15th December, so claim your points as early as possible
We have arranged a special lottery contest. The contest is running here. The lottery winner will get lots of forum points
