Dropdown menu in navigation bar Empty Dropdown menu in navigation bar

Post by Diana January 15th 2010, 10:32 pm

Is it possible to have a dropdown menu in the navigation bar?

I have a code for a dropdown menu, but it stays right under the navigation bar.
I want one right next to the buttons on the nav bar.

I have some flash games on html pages, a game per page (cause if they're on the same page they start playing music altogether and it's annoying) and I want to put them to the menu together on the navigation bar.

Ok. It had to be the only version i do not know, but fortunately there are ze_chaofan and our forum (which already contains this trick menu follower for BB2 and BB3) ...
So then paste this code in your css stylesheet :
/*Menu_Suiveur_InVision-------------------------------------------------SF*/
body { padding: 0px; margin: 0px; }
#submenu{ position: fixed; top: 0px; left: 0px; min-width: 100%; width: 100%; padding: 5px; z-index: 900;}

#submenu{ background-color : #ffffff;
border-bottom: 1px solid #afbec7;}

The green value will increase the spacing between the limits and links of the floating navigation bar.

Then comes the Italic part :
This part can give the appearance at your bar ... Here is the basic way with simply in purple background color, and in red the color of the bottom border.

It's up to you to be creative, for exemple :
#submenu{ background-color : #ffffff;
background-image: url('https://i.servimg.com/u/f84/11/44/03/73/bg_con10.gif');
background-repeat: repeat-x;
background-position: bottom left;
border-bottom: 1px solid #afbec7;}

Concerned this bar, note that she is automatic, and that the settings as the alignment of menus or links color is feasible in a classical way. Your navigation bar can also be made only with images.

Note that in some browsers, it is possible that when you descend down the page, the ads go "above" this menu ... Not very big, not very aesthetic either, but impossible to do better.

Um thanks. Yeah I tried this code out. I'm not sure it really works the way I'd like it to work. It just lifts the nav bar to the top of the screen.

I'm just looking for like a button that's a dropdown menu. You know when you click on it, you get a dropdown menu. In the navigation bar.

Once i have a moment, i'll go to search for what you expect.
And no, this bar is just automatic =
whatever you're scrolling it remains it fixed on the bottom of the page.

You just want the system that dops down the navbar to the footer, or just as Faceboock which has a fade effect ?

If is the first system, ZC could do it but not the second version as Facebook, i think...

Fitness/Nutrition would be the button and when I click on it I get the menu.

Do you want a java script drop down or a flash drop down?

I'll tell you one thing, Flash drop down boxes are harder to insert into regular template websites.

I'd settle for anything if it looks good and I know how to set it up.
I'd like the menu items to look like buttons/images, not just like...text.
But if you know anything about menus and are willing to explain or guide me I'm up for it.
