Moderator Control Panel Empty Moderator Control Panel

Post by dmitchell January 16th 2010, 5:37 pm

okay, I was reading about the admin panel, and I was thinking whether the mods even have a panel to view. so I made a mod, on my forum, and well there wasn't. I don't know about you, but shouldn't their be a panel just for the mods to go into?
like have a panel that is just for them, have the admins modify what they can view in it and change. have it just like the admin panel, I think that could be useful, and more fun to be a moderator. I dunno, tell me what you guys think Wink :wouhou:

I voted yes.

On my forum I have my mod section as a private part of the board, but my mods have to send everything there and stuff, whereas if all they had to do was click a few buttons and the panel keep an automatic update of things then it would be easier

This could be good as some boards have this but, the way I do it is create a mod lounge where all mods can keep admins updated on their actions and such.

I though my moderators had access to the admin panel but understand they haven't. We send out newsletters regularly about upcoming events, it seems I am the only one who can send them which is not what I want. I would like the moderators to be able to send their own newsletters out. So I voted yes.

I think it would be useful because mods currently have to go to a member's profile in order to ban someone. With the Mod CP, there could be a search option where you just type in the name of the person and hit ban for (duration) instead of having to find each individual member. The admin panel has an option just like this, so I don't see why moderators shouldn't have it too.
