Solved Embed Codes

Post by hannahl3 February 9th 2010, 06:29

We all know that youtube and some other videos can be added by putting the videos embed code into the video icon on the 'Post New Topic' page.

I wanted to embed some mp3s though, and have tried slipping them into the video, flash and link icons, none of which work.

Is there any way of doing this apart from creating an html page, as its getting way too crowded in my html editor?

TIA x

you would have to have a player in a iframe then add the mp3/file.link to where it is uploaded.
i might have something to do it but i will have to test it first.

Yes, I got it.

The way you just described is just about right - I 'm putting lists of songs into my forum, each with its own embedded mp3 player widget.
Doing it as an html page works, but its a nightmare keeping track of all the pages.
This way, it looks better too, as you can see each player on the page rather than clicking on a link and going to an html page

Well yes, its solved in as far as I sussed out to do it.

But I think it would be far better if there was an 'embed code' option next to the youtubevids and images icons.

But thats another story...

No that's not another story.
enabling the html is the only thing and only way to allow html on forumotion forum embed codes. without that there is now embed about it.

To where using the flash/bbcode?
Some people prefer not to have html enabled there, for bbcode is the only other option... pretty neat "A" fufufu
