Google bots placed an ad on my site. I thought that forumotion was ad free, isnt it ?

Hi!

As is is in the title, there are ads on my site, what previously wasnt. I have another forum, what is a bit older, and there are no ads at all. So is forumotion ad free or not ? Is it possible to remove ads somehow ?

Hi Smile
Try Admin CP.
General tab > Forum > Configuration.
In the General box you'll see two lines.
One for Activate Ads & the other Texts Ads (underlined).
Select Guests on both.

But you also have to have credits to pay for this.
Look at Misc tab ACP.
Spend credits.
You 'll see Storage - Ads - Domain - name.
Click on Ads.
You will now see a tariff chart.
You can exclude members or members & guests.
The later being more expensive.

I see so disabling ads is not free ? What will happen if i set them disabled, and dont pay sh17 ? I have 0 credits now, and i can still set the ads disabled for members.

Nope disabling ad's isn't free. You will have to buy credits in order to remove them.

Depends on what you want. You can check in Misc Tab // Spend Credits // Ad Removal

Just a little Q on the Admin page we had a setting to stop the adds from showing Video Adds and now the setting for that in the admin page has now gone

so all adds on my site are now showing up with moving Adds again

i want to remove the Video adds and just use text like i did befor

screen shot of what i mean

what im saying to me its saying that we can not stop video adds on our site but we can have less

Why change it no one likes to see the bad flashing adds on there site

if there is some other setting to hide the video adds please let me know where
