Solved Text Colour

Post by Clug May 19th 2010, 2:23 am

Hey Guys Hello
Last night I changed themes on my forum. This new theme I like, but I've noticed two things:
1) The text colour in posts (under username) where your information goes is white, and the post background is a very very light grey, so it is barely or invisible to see. Here is a screenshot of my problem: Text Colour 29625pl
NOTE: I want to change the colour of the text, not the post background.

2) The text on all pages is way to big and makes the forum look squished, I want it so you barely have to scroll.

Thanks,
Clug

I'll put it in a spoiler below. If you could just highlight or bold the parts that need to be changed to change font size, I can experiment until I find the right size. Here it is:

thank god thats in a spoiler.. lol

you dont even need to use css for that. just change the main font size in the acp>display>colors

scroll down to main font size change it there and hit save.

well actually you might have to do it with css now that i think of it.
but try that first then if it don't work you have to change it in the css

Haha, I've already checked that out. It is definately in the CSS that needs changing, but thanks for the suggestion.

10pts is huge? 0,o Try removing the font-size: 100%; and seeing if that makes it any better.

Yeah, I agree with the guy up there. ^ Try removing the 'font-size: 100%;' tag from your CSS. Wink

Also, you could try this... place the following HTML code in either your forum description or homepage message (if you place it in your forum description, then the font size will be affected on ALL pages of your forum; whereas, the homepage message will only affect the font size on the forum index):
Code:
<span style="font-size: #px;">
Edit the # sign with the appropriate number size, in pixels, that you would like the font size on your forum to be. Don't add any end tags to the code.
Maybe that would work. It wouldn't help to give it a shot. Rolling Eyes

I just realized you are using pts and not px, which is a bit like using font-size: #em...it depends on your browser and system settings. 10pts wont be the same from system to system and browser to browser.
