the only way to do this is to remove the option all together through the template editing.

i have just done this for someone a couple weeks ago.. but you have to be using phpbb2 or punnbb version. if not it can not be done.

Your theme may look strange, it also looks different. You will then have access to the templates which will allow you to remove the option.

Yeah then there is no possible way of doing it. this is a feature that dose not have an option to enable or disable in the admin panel. so the only to disable it would be to remove it from the template.

but remember when members are online you can still see who is on in the admin panel.
and if they are hidden on the board you can always go into there acp profile and switch them to not hidden.

or you can make a rule saying you do not allow hidden members and any members you find that are hidden will be warned, have permissions taken from them or banned.

Well this will depend if you have changed a lot of images or colors.
if you are just using a skin and never changed anything then you can always install the same skin again.. but if you have a lot of your own custom buttons tab, colors.
then you would lose all that and have to fix it one your on phpbb2

However? Tim do you know if you save your theme, then change version if you can get the saved theme back? i have never tried it. but if you can then that would work Smile

oh ok i'll leave this open a Lil longer just in case you want to see if saving the theme would work? i could test it on my test forum but by the time i do all that someone will probably have the answer. i just never tried it befor thats why i am not sure?

by the looks of you forum it seems you have added a lot. unless thats all in the skin.
but you would lose all the images you have on your forum and colors etc..
so you would have to go back and add everthing. you can always copy stuff into a note pad then place everthing back after you change version..

but that would depend if you wanted to do that and how much stuff you have?

I don't see the identity of the hidden members in the administrative panel. Supposedly in the online section but it doesn't show the hidden users.

You can set it so they show to you as admin and your moderators if you wish. Smile

Don't downgrade your forum, you will regret it.
