Please help me with the image auto-sizing issue.

Post by ScooterSpot on May 30th 2010, 7:40 pm

People, please help, this is an emergency I`ve just started a forum, but I cannot find a way how to make pictures be normal-sized, when posted, I mean, if for example pictures has 1440x800 pixels, when i`m uploading it to random server and putting link into the entry it's stays as big as it originally is - so user has to scroll up and down, left and right, to see the image fully, you know what I mean? Other forums has auto-resizing and my question is can I turn on or something auto-resizing in this forum?

PLEASE HELP AS FAST AS YOU GUYS CAN!

Thanks a lot.
Scott.

Hi, your title being non explicit and therefore not facilitating research via the search option, I'm not answering (nor is any other member) until you change your title for an explicit one, related to your problem

Why we ask for explicit titles
The forum's search engine bases its research on keywords found in topic titles.

When you do a research, do you use "help", "urgent", "problem", "SOS" or "question" as keywords to look for topics about your problem/question?
Certainly not! So this is why it is important to use titles related to your problem/question. Doing this makes the researches much easier for visitors who use the search engine to get an answer to their question.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hello,

you can set a image-resize via: Admin panel >> General ( Tab ) >> Messages & Emails/Configuration > Images resize :

P.s. Please don't double post within 24 hours Wink

I apologize for doublepost, but hey - it won't work. Sad

At first I changed the width from 0 to 600, and kept the height as it was ( 0 ), nothing happened - then I changed both W from 0 to 600 and H from 0 to 400 still nothing happens... Sad

It's not working, because it's not your setting below the minimal standards for re-sizing Wink

For Hight there is a minimal of 300 pxl
For Width there is a minimal of 100 pxl

Thanks.

I'm sorry, I mis-read that. My mistake.

Let's re-synch your forum Admin panel >> General ( Tab ) >> Forum / Configuration > Resynchronize your forum : Tick the box, and save it.

If the image is smaller than the specified size, I don't think it enlarges it.
