Scrolling Text Like like the forumotion World Cup

Is it possible to add scrolling text like up with the World Cup in my forum?

actually there are two ways...

one way is going to AP>Display>Generalities>then type to your homepage message

<marquee direction="right">your message/link</marquee>

you can also put a background color by adding bgcolor="red" to it like:


<marquee direction="right" bgcolor="red">your message/link</marquee>

I'm not sure about speed, but font size...

Change the number to your desired font size.

for the speed:
add scrollamount="5" inside the <marquee direction="right" bgcolor="red">
so it will be

<marquee direction="right" bgcolor="red" scrollamount="5"></marquee>

and for the size of your text, just put <font size="5">your message</font>


all in all you got

<marquee direction="right" bgcolor="red" scrollamount="5"><font size="5">your message</font>

Last question.How i can make it when you click it it redirects you somewhere?

Yup, what aenku said. To add link:

<a href="LINK ADDRESS HERE">TEXT HERE</a>

make your message a link:

<marquee blablabla etc...><font sizblablabla><a href="http://example.com/" >your message here</a></font></marquee>

I'm afraid you can't change that... As far as I know all links must have a different color or bold or underline... o_o but let's see if anyone else replies differently. xD

The World Cup thing here is a scrolling announcement. That'll work exactly like this one.

From your admin panel: General >> Messages and Emails > Announcements

Scroll down and click the green plus sign. Give your announcement a name (like "contest" or "welcome" or whatever - it won't show up on the site anyway) then copy the code in your message box. Done!

Oh, and a little revision for your code:

<marquee direction="left" bgcolor="dark blue" scrollamount="5"><font size="5"><a href="topgamers.forumotion.com">Καλωσήρθατε στο topgamers.Tην καλύτερη ελληνική κοινότητα για Video Games.Καλό posting και καλή διαμονή!</a></font></marquee>

General >> Messages and Emails > Announcements

The very first thing you'll see is Activate Announcements. xD Click yes!
