Banner Positioning?

Post by CloverTea on June 2nd 2010, 6:05 am

I couldn't find anything using the search tool but maybe I suck at it :p Any who:

Is there a way to position the banner so that it's resting on the table right below it?

Mine has about 10 pixels of space inbetween.

I'd mess with the CSS and try to figure it out myself, but I don't want to screw anything up x_x Thanks in advanced!

oh and this is kind of a side question but...
is there a way to make the 'banner background' image positioned to the left? Right now it tiles automatically and I don't see anything that lets you left position it.

~bump~

I'm still having issues.

There has to be some way to make the banner touch the header links x_X

I can take a screen shot if necessary.

If you link me to the page(s) you are having an issue on I can give you the code you need.

it's my forum here:
clover.top-forum.net

the banner says "the dream league forum" and I would just like it to be right up against the header links.

Also, is there a table around the area where the banner is? Because I want to make the background of that 'table' area white...maybe this question should be another thread entirely...?

Try adding the following to your css file.
Code:
#pun-intro{background-color:#FFF;}
img#logo{position:relative; top:15px;}
div#add-google{display:none; visibility:hidden;}

The white background looks PERFECT but the banner is still too high Sad

Any other suggestions?

Oh...right right...I forgot, you have to add the ID of logo to the picture. Give me a moment and I'll figure out another possible fix in case you can not add an ID to the picture.

Try a#pun-logo{position:relative; top:15px;} instead of img#logo{position:relative; top:15px;}

this code works perfectly for anyone else who needs their banner to be moved up or down!!!

Code:

#pun-intro{background-color:;}
a#pun-logo{position:relative; top:16px;}
div#add-google{display:none; visibility:hidden;}

"16 px" is correct for my forum, but it might be different for yours. Just play around with the numbers.

aww Sad I'm sorry. Well i hope this code works for your forum to fix the issue you had.

I'm lucky I found this post cause it was quite a few months old, but ended up working for me.

There are places in forumotion where I get NO help at all so I know how you feel ;^; Like the style switcher issue....even the main poster doesn't seem to have an answer to my plethora of questions.

hey looks way better than it did before.

Basically just increase the 16px to like...20px or 23px. Just play around with the number value until it looks right.

It is a completely different site lol well not the banner but the forums and such. Also I can't use that code because they are different each forum version.

Well if you download firebug for firefox or whatever browser you are on you can examine and mess around with the CSS. It is very easy imo except more advanced stuff I am not sure.
