What are you doing with the points system?

I desperately need to implement some sort of a points shop and hope that a shop is being made as we write. What type of things are you awarding for points to your members on your board?

Making Shop In My Forum !!

I use it as shop money

We award monthly..and yearly prizes to the members who participate most in makeing the forum so fantastic

I am thinking about making a point catagory so my members know what it is.

Shop, of course
And take it from a member if he is banned of warned

wel im gonna make a shop and i got a other idea where members make their own shops and sell graphics their called sig shops

I was going to make a game where you buy "items" with the points and try to increase your net worth as high as you can by trading with other people for items you can't buy anymore, but I decided not to.

Make sure you just block the really really bad ones, and keep doing the tasks even if they are somewhat lame. I know miles skipped tasks, ( well i think he did anyways ) but i prefer to do what ever i get. A huge chunk of your profit is from the runes you get from buying slayer darts.

so when they buy it ? how do you subtract the cash ? or how do you reset it ? for me decreasing it is the problem ............. any idea ?

You have to remove the points via their profile.

I use them for a point shop, and members can make their own shops.
Its funner that way, but its annoying because Admins have to have subtract and add all the points

At the moment, nothing. The points are just there. I should think of something do use them for. On one of my forums I ran in the past, I awarded a member of the Month award based on members votes. I ended up winning the first one. But using the points as a basis to award someone for their activity on the forum sounds like a good idea.

I use it as a shop, but the members can make shops too.

Uhhh... do ANY of you guys know HOW to make a points shop or make a points game that involves a shop. It seems like the shop (Which I also had an idea about for myself) isn't a very uncommon thought about what to do with points. But does ANYONE know HOW to do it? I'd be glad to find out!

I maintain the Points Our glass in my Hogwarts School

For points my members can:
Buy a signature - 30 points
Buy a present for another person - 30 points
Buy a personal diary - 100 points
Buy a personal photo-album - 100 points
Buy a hair warning level (if they got not a sirious warning before) - 400 points
Buy a Special Rank - 2000 points

We are planning to provide html pages to be brought with a lot of points. We are still in the initial stages of this shop to be introduced.

I just made my forum recently.

I'm not exactly sure what i'm going to do with them but i am thinking about selling virtual items that i don't want anymore off of webkinz.

I sell custom avatars, signatures, other versions of warning bars, custom ranks/rank pictures, pets for the profile, stickers/badges, and advertisement/affiliation.
