news widget problem

i have a problem the widget news is not showing in my portal, can anyone help me?
im running phpbb2.

Is it added on the portal structure and still not showing or it's doesn't allow it to add on the portal structure?(on the admin panel>modules>portal management> find the portal page and click structure?)

it is already been added on the portal structure. but its not really showing up. do i need to give print screens to prove this sir? so that you would take this question seriously? Please repx. Thanks for the reply sir zoids25

Ok, have you tried checking it's permission?(the new's widget): on the rights: administrators, moderators, members , guests box should be checked.

A screenshot of the structure(on the ACP) would help
And also a link to your forum.

Ok, check the settings of the 'news' widget on your portal management(), did you try changing any settings there?

i didnt change it. i dont mess with the default widgets. is this solvable? i think its bugged. =.=

Do you have any other admins with you that could have messed up the templates?(admin panel>display>templates(tab)>portal>check the 'mod_news'>try deleting a published page if it was edited/modified

If you have a published page on that part of the template(on the mod_news only), well my advice is just save the code in a notepad and delete it, that might be the one causing the problem
