Post by Paradox RP on June 8th 2010, 12:22 am

Forumotion.com is a site entirely free. We strive to offer quality service. We ask that you do not remove the copyright information and footer set up on your forums because they prove you belong to the Forumotion.com family. Every forum that has edited or removed these links will receive a warning.
Also, it is forbidden to remove or hide the sponsored links through any means other than the one provided, namely the credits management. We provide a quality service completely free and are always looking to improve it to meet your expectations. For these reasons, we ask that you respect our terms.

That would be a no to edit it.

I've seen others ask and get told they can as long as they keep all the links, which I am. I really don't see why I wouldn't be able to do this as its keeping within the terms.

I don't think any staff member gave such info. If you want to risk your forum's existence on such information provided by any member, its upto you.

you can get rid of statistics but free forums support has to stay.

Also you can not put a copyright seal/icon if your images etc.. are not copyrighted. that is fraud. your saying you own all images and so fourth when in reality you do not because you never got them legally copyrighted.

but now if you have everthing legally copyrighted then yes you can add it to your site. but you cant claim you own something and have it legally copyrighted if you do not.

@kirk wrote:for your rules during registration. you still have to have forumotions terms but you can add your additional ones as well.

Oh and for your footer i would consider leaving the report abuse.
Anyone who reports something from that link it will go to you.So this way if something was to be reported you can see what was reported and take care of any problems instead of someone haveing to send it to litigation's to were you would never see the report.

so you may want to keep that.

and This Forum has its footer edited and is still there.

I'm sure I could find more if needed.....

There has been misconception about the exact rules. Its never clearly stated.

As i said, if you want to risk your forum's existence based on this. You are free to go ahead & do it.

MrMario and Sanket, some of the most active Forumotion forums have their footers slightly edited. As long as the links are still together at the bottom of every page I don't really see the problem. Confused
