Widgets taller than Forum body

Post by Raine Tensai on June 9th 2010, 12:09 pm

I'm using the forum widgets, and they are taller than the forum. is there a way to forceably vertically align them?

Example: http://yaoiverse.lovediscussion.net/index.htm

Thanks in advance for any help!

It might be that you had more widgets than your forums on the index, about the widgets aligned vertically with the forum, those are side widgets(on column1 and column3).

Read this for more information about the forum widgets http://help.forumotion.com/frequently-asked-questions-f5/forum-widgets-t22589.htm

I've taken it down to just 1 widget and it still does it, so it's not that i have too many. I read everything at that link and nothing addressed my issue.

Link is http://yaoiverse.lovediscussion.net as provided in original post.

I would be happy just to know how to put some space under my navigation bar. That wouldn't solve the problem, but it would at least look a little better, thanks.

I just thought that the forum you provided above is an example on the forum issue your having,

I don't really see any problem, the reason why widgets are taller than your forums and categories is because you have less forums on the index and that's the natural size of the forum widgets, I don't really see any problems that persists on the widgets and the forums.

I see where your confusion is coming from. I have a lot of my forums set to display only when the user is logged in, please make an account and log in and you will see that my forums extend way past the widgets, so that should not be the problem.

I have 6 categories and 21 forums.

Here's an example of what I'm trying to do:

Ok, Sorry 'bout that, in my understanding, I thought that the widgets taller or longer than your forums on the index, for this, I don't really know why the widgets are almost sticked to the navigation bars, but did you try placing the forum widgets on the right side?(column 3)? See if does the same on the pic you provided.

No problem.

That was a good idea! I thought that might fix it too, but it didn't. beu

I was thinking adding a search bar like they've got here: http://raythereign.forumotion.com/ under the nave bar might at least make it look better. (you'll notice they've got the same widgets sticking up problem.) but I don't know how to add one, or even if one can be added in phbb2, I've only seen them in phbb3.

Thank you very much for taking the time to try and help though, I do appreciate it.
