About My Forum
Hi,
First of all i would like to thank the management of forumotion for the free forum. I Have some questions to ask...
1. Is there anything that we need to do as administrators of the free forum to keep the forum active?
2. Is there a limit to the age of the forum? Or how long will the forum be free?
3. What are the chances that the forum will be deleted?
4. I do not know how the Points system works.
I have read the Terms And Conditions and Rules to avoid any violation, How can i make sure that i am not violating any Rules?
I would like to have our forum checked.
Your response and assistance will be highly appreciated.
Thank You.

Re: About My Forum
Hello Banjo,
ForuMotion appreciates the thank you're giving them. I'll answer your questions for you.
1) To keep your forum active, the best cause of action is to advertise. Yes, tell all your friends and people you know about it. Tell them to advertise and to get your community bigger. Alternatively, you can check out this topic for advice on Forum Promotion.
2) No, your forum will be free forever. You will only have to pay if you need to buy credits for a domain or removal of ads.
3) The chances of your forum being deleted all depends on the content of the forum. If your forum contains content which breaks the Terms of Service then you shouldn't be surprised to find your forum banned the next day. So, I suggest you follow and abide the ToS at all times.
4) The points system can be found and explained in detail at this topic.
If you have read the ToS, I wouldn't worry too much because now you understand what is expected and what is not expected on ForuMotion forums. To avoid having your forum banned, encourage your members to do the same and enforce rules on your forum.
Regards,
Base

Re: About My Forum
Thanks for the quick reply.
As the Administrator of my forum i will make sure that my members will abide to My Forum's and Forumotions rules.
Also I have reviewed the Points System and decided not to activate it.
Again Thank You very much for the assistance.
Oh before i forget, how can forumotion deal with forums with languages unknown to them? My forum uses English and Local language/dialect. Im am quite worried that the management of forumotion might misinterpret posts on my my forum with foreign language violating forumotion's ToS/Rules even though theyre not.

Re: About My Forum
They wouldn't do that. If your forum breaks the Terms of Service then they will review it and see what to do.

Re: About My Forum
Thanks for the response MrMario...i have another query...
On the Admin Panel under General...then Messages and Emails...then Announcements...is there a way for me to modify the announcements so that guests wont be able to see it? I have modified Categories and Forums so guests wont be able to access them, however i cant seem to find an option to modify the Announcements so guests wont see them.
