help with board creation?

hello i was wondering how you get, the forum and catagories to show up?
i have 1 forum and 2 categories on my forum.
and that is all.
i put others on but they don't show up on my site.
only in my admin cpanel.

any suggestions would be great, thanks

Admin Panel => Display => Homepage then click on ''Structure and hierarchy'' from there you can choose Split categories on index: Medium then Save

I got it now thanks.
But it did some weird stuff.
When i had like 3 or more topic's in the category it would make them like this.

Why would it do this?
I tried everything and setting.
I'm used to smf, forums but i wanted more flexibility, so i started a php forum.
And it is like being alienated if you will, lol.

Can you explain more clearly?

That is how the Structure and hierarchy works. It shows topics under the category. You can pick whatever option in Structure and hierarchy if you like.

i'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but for me, it was the case that categories (or forums) with no topics/threads in it (i.e. completely empty) did not show up until i put boards in them.

A category won't show up if it doesn't have any forums on it, if the categories don't show up, try changing theme/skin, it may be a bug on the current skin your having
