Username change limitations

I know currently there are two ways to change username:

1 - By the admin
2 - By the User (if configured so by the admin)

On my forums, I'd like to give my users the option of changing their username. However, I also do not want them sporting a new username everyday.

Is it possible to limit the username change to like "Able to change only once in X months" (where X is configurable) or something on those lines? Is there already something like that which I missed? If not, any plans of implementing it in the near future ? I remember seeing this option in another forum (it wasn't from forumotion though).

Unfortunately, this is not possible. You may suggest this idea and you will have my full support because it sounds like a good idea. So yeah, my advice to you is get this idea on the ball and I think you should tell your members to send you a PM to get their username changed.
