This is a suggestion to improve the current notification system.
If you have notifications about topic A, if you open that topic by any means, it should make the notifications read.
Example: I am subscribed to a topic "A", someone replied to the topic, I got a notification.
I open the topic "A" manually (not from notifications) and it will automatically mark the notification from that topic read.
This is already incorporated in the original phpBB software, so I'm unsure why it isn't here.

Yes but many a times the notifications are overloaded and its a hassle to go and mark them read in profile of delete them.
I believe the notifications would be "smarter" if it knew thst we have read the topic already.

I voted yes on this i read the comments and then have to go in and read each one in my Notifications and delete the ones that are in the list

It would be good if you read the topic and then the ones posted in there go on there own Smile
