Re: Moderators of Usergroups
I think it is not possible. there could only be one moderator for each group, so you have to choose between that many people.
Re: Moderators of Usergroups
Is there any other kind of grouping then, that allows more than 1 user to moderate the groups?

Ok you can have One group Moderator then every other Administrator on your forum can also moderate that group to.
Re: Moderators of Usergroups
Pfff not suitable as well. I cant give admin rights to everyone that i need to moderate a group.

Re: Moderators of Usergroups
can I ask what type of group you are on about?
Are you on about a user group? like a group of moderators?

I'm running a gaming forum about HoN.
In our clan there we got several officers.
And the ranks (which are the respective user groups) in clan are taken from the forum.
So i wanted the officers to be able to add/remove someone from the different usergroups, without giving them admin right on the forum.
And I can't put only 1 of them as moderator of these groups.

Re: Moderators of Usergroups
just put them all in the moderators group and the can moderate anything you give them permissions too.
the dont have to be in the specific group you can have them all as mods in the mod group.
or you can create there own group and have it hidden and grant them moderator powers that way as well.

So, if i make a special group and put em in, they can have rights to change other users between groups? (cos that's what i need)

Re: Moderators of Usergroups
Mods are mods.. you can create a group for individual members then give them moderating rights to what ever boards/forums you want.. it has nothing to do with a group.. they can only mod what you give them permission too.
like take this forum.
We have regular support mod group.. thats what i am in.. now i have access to moderate connection problems, manage the appearance of your forum, scripts & codes and other problems sections of this forum.
to where the forum reviewers or graphic designers.. that is there sections and us regular support mods are not granted mod permissions for those sections, just like they do not have permissions to mod the sections support mods are in.
to where a global mod can moderate just about all sections if not all sections.
BUt now of course we are all on the same team and support one and other. lol
So you either put them in there own groups and set the permissions for what sections they can moderate.. or you put them all in just one moderator group and they can moderate the whole forum or what ever you set there permissions to moderate.
Once again it has nothing to do with what groups you have it's how you set the mods permissions for what ever sections you want to allow them to moderate

but by making them mods will not help in this situation...they will not be able to add or remove members from groups
