Solved Music Playlist Help?

Post by Mellow-diee June 21st 2010, 9:49 pm

Hello,

I'm an admin on this site, http://wa44.forummotion.com/, with the username Mellow-diee and we recently created a music playlist on http://www.playlist.com for background music. We made it a widget, but whenever we post, go to another topic, etc. it restarts the whole playlist. Is it possible for it go on and on without refreshing?
Thanks for helping.

Here's the code for the playlist:
Code:
<img style="visibility:hidden;width:0px;height:0px;" border=0 width=0 height=0 src="http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyNzcxNDc4NTYzNTkmcHQ9MTI3NzE*ODM3ODM5MCZwPTY5NDMwMSZkPSZnPTEmbz*wOWUyZTIyMDVmNGM*MGE*YjRh/NGUzZmE2YTQwN2MxNSZvZj*w.gif" /><div style="text-align: center; margin-left: auto; visibility:visible; margin-right: auto; width:450px;"> <object width="435" height="270"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/mp3player_new.swf"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="never"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <param name="flashvars" value="config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indimusic.us%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fconfig_black.xml&mywidth=435&myheight=270&playlist_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.musicplaylist.us%2Fpl.php%3Fplaylist%3D78680971%26t%3D1277147825&wid=os"></param> <embed style="width:435px; visibility:visible; height:270px;" allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/mp3player_new.swf" flashvars="config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indimusic.us%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fconfig_black.xml&mywidth=435&myheight=270&playlist_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.musicplaylist.us%2Fpl.php%3Fplaylist%3D78680971%26t%3D1277147825&wid=os" width="435" height="270" name="mp3player" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" border="0"/> </object> <br/> <a href="http://www.musicplaylist.us"><img src="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/images/create_black.jpg" border="0" alt="Get a playlist!"/></a> <a href="http://www.musicplaylist.us/playlist/20142328587/standalone" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/images/launch_black.jpg" border="0" alt="Standalone player"/></a> <a href="http://www.musicplaylist.us/playlist/20142328587/download"><img src="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/images/get_black.jpg" border="0" alt="Get Ringtones"/></a> </div>

Also, is it possible for it to be invisible?
Thanks again Wink

you have to have a pop-out player then you can browse through your forum and it will keep playing without interruptions every time you click a page.

fist go and add your music player to a html page.

after that you will have to add the html link to this code below IN both places where it says
(YOUR HTML PAGE LINK HERE)

then you can adjust the width and high you like

Code:
<center><table><tr><td onMouseover="this.bgColor='#7DF9FF'"onMouseout="this.bgColor=''"><a href="YOUR HTML PAGE LINK HERE" style="text-decoration:none" target="popup72" title=" Music Popup Player" onclick="window.open('YOUR HTML PAGE LINK HERE', 'popup72', 'width=480,height=475,height=200,left=150,top=250,scrollbars=yes'); return false">  style="float:left" border="0"> POP-UP
Music Player</a></td></tr></table></center>

And here is your player invisible. it's actually set to one for the width and height. so it will appear as a very tiny dot you can not even really see.
the reason i did that is so it still plays on fire fox.. for some reason the players will not play on FireFox in it's completely zeroed out

Code:
<embed style="width:1px; visibility:visible; height:1px;" allowscriptAccess="never" src="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/mp3player_new.swf" flashvars="config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indimusic.us%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fconfig_black.xml&mywidth=0&myheight=0&playlist_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.musicplaylist.us%2Fpl.php%3Fplaylist%3D78680971%26t%3D1277147825&wid=os" width="1" height="1" name="mp3player" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" border="0"/> </object> </a></div>

This popup version of your player will work without creating an Html page
Code:
<a onclick="window.open('http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/mp3player_new.swf?config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indimusic.us%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fconfig_black.xml&mywidth=435&myheight=270&playlist_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.musicplaylist.us%2Fpl.php%3Fplaylist%3D78680971%26t%3D1277147825&wid=os','popup01','width=435,height=270,height=200,left=180,top=150,scrollbars=no');return false" quality="high" href="http://www.musicplaylist.us/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" allowscriptaccess="always">Popup Music Player</a>
You can do some cool things to a player page with kirks advise though.

Here is an example of using a popup for a custom Html Music Player Page
Code:
<table border="0"><td border="0"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k57/RoNo1/player01.gif" border="0"></td> <td border="0"><a onclick="window.open('http://zone3.forumotion.com/Holiday-Music-2-h144.htm', 'popup73', 'width=625,height=510,height=200,left=150,top=250,scrollbars=no'); return false" href="http://zone3.forumotion.com/Holiday-Music-2-h144.htm" target="_blank">Holiday Music Popup</a></td></tr></table>
(I used 1 of kirks holiday pics, added falling snow and a "close window" link) full page

Try the popup code in *this online editor
