I'm currently working on new features: an award system and a shopping plaza! this is a job that takes a lot of time because I need to upload the gifts one by one. that being said, right now I only have one shop open for test to see if members respond well to it. if they are, then I’ll add more shops to it. I’ve prepared around four more shops, but it all depends on the members themselves. so take a visit there, join the site, try the new feature, and give me the feedback!

anyway, I hope you will visit and join my forum. help it to grow bigger! thanks~ ^^

new translation of the latest entry of Akiko Shikata's blog is up! check them on my forum or click here.

I've finished adding new smilies. I'm in process of adding another features, users' blog section and arcade games. more download links to Shikata-san's songs will be coming soon. I'm still in need of help of a graphic designer too, and I need it urgently. so please, help me!

thanks for your attention. see you there! ^__^

--important!!--

hello, guys! once again, I need little help here.

you see, I'm considering to change the theme of my forum. that's the main goal, but I'm also hoping to fix this current theme somehow to make it more attractive so members can still use it. I saw a post in the support forum of forumotion where you can install a style/theme selector to your forum. I just haven't tried it yet.

so now I'm in need of one person who can help me with this. what are the requirements?
first of all, you must be able to design some graphics related to a forum (banner, icons, images, etc.). I'm serious about this, so if you want to apply, show some of your works (or give links to things you design, anyway you see fit). of course, that being said, you must also has a nice sense of combining colors.
second, this isn't a must, but maybe you have some knowledge of CSS so you can alter the design of the forum a bit? nothing much. maybe like changing the fonts or size of fonts of the forum and stuff like that? once again, this isn't a must.
third, I need someone who's willing to devote his/her time in designing my forum. I mean, because I'm hoping for quite a big makeover, I bet it will take quite long before the design completely finished. so state how long are you willing (something you must fulfill) to be online at the forum to do this job.

maybe you'll ask about the rewards you get for helping me design my forum. I'll admit it openly: none. I have nothing to offer you but a rank as an administrator and graphic designer at my forum with some forum points to spend on shops. other than that, I don't think I can give you anything, I'm sorry. so don't apply if you don't feel like it. I don't want both of us feeling uneasy about this. ^^"

you can visit my forum here >> A Singing Harmony ~ a fan-site forum for Akiko Shikata <<

thank you in advance! ^___^

I know that our speed of growing is slow, but I don't mind it at all. I'm happy enough that this place survived and managed to grow this far. so thank you, everyone, who has made this place possible.

I would also like to invite everyone who loves music out there. Shikata-san is someone with a wide range of music genre and a unique artist. You should go and try to listen to her songs to know how beautiful her works are. Visit us there and familiarize yourself with this lady and make your days brighter with her works!

Thank you for your attention. Smile

Up until now, it means we have been running for around eight months... I never realized it has been so long, and I didn't imagine this could stay so long.

So thank you, thank you so much to everyone who has helped me building this community. May we stay happy like this forever!

I don't think I can complain more than what I've been given. Although we are growing slowly, we are moving forward step by step. We've sent another e-mail to Shikata-san, and we're also looking forward to get our own domain soon enough. I hope we can grow bigger day by day, as the only international fan forum for Akiko Shikata! Very Happy

Millions of people believe they have what it takes to become a famous singer. For you to break through, you will need more than just talent. You will need patience, dedication and perhaps even a little luck. Give yourself a chance by taking the right steps to get ahead.

1. Try out for "American Idol"
This may be the long shot, but others have tried and succeeded, so why not you? Find out when the show is going on the road to audition talent, and arrive plenty early.

2. Try a Talent Agency
Seek out talent agencies or a singing agent, and find out which ones are willing to take a look at new talent. Talent Box provides an online resource with a wide variety of agents seeking musically qualified new artists.

3.Try acting and singing
Try acting and singing in new media formats, such as Youtube. To stand out, you must be creative in these videos. Get friends together to create a web series to showcase your talent

4. make sure you love singing and acting as an art form, and that you are not solely in it for the fame and money.

5. Take voice lessons. Lessons are great for novice singers to learn proper singing practices, as well as for experienced singers who wish to further develop their technique

Learning How to Sing Higher

When you're learning how to sing it seems to be most peoples' ambition to increase their range right from the start. There are tools out there to help enable a person to do that but it doesn't really come easily in most cases. It takes lots of hard work and practice and dedication.

There are vocal lessons out there that claim to be able to increase a persons' range in the first hour of using the technique found within the lesson. To be honest I was (like you may be) a little skeptical because I had been singing for a fairly long time already and I pretty much knew that you could increase your range but it was not something that would be accomplished in an hour or so, but rather over the course of weeks or months and with regular practice.

On the other hand I also knew that there is a physiological "thing" that goes on in your body that tends to limit what you can do vocally. One of the keys to being able to sing higher is to know how to break through these Link Removed barriers
