How can i make a window pop-up when i have a pm?

Well i thought this happens automatically but it seems no window pops up in my forum when someone has a new pm.
I just want to know how i enable it.

Display a pop-up window on new private messages :Yes
Save.

I am silly . I forgot the pop-up blocker in mozilla
