url links being directed to a preview page - I do not want this
If you look at the link inside the spoiler tag at this link,
http://animeraider.forumotion.com/kissaten-f3/upload-tags-being-changed-to-a-preview-screen-without-our-doing-so-message-for-forumotion-admins-and-programmers-t2236.htm
you will see "Megaupload.com CVBISTN3". However, that's not what I've programmed. What I've programmed is "http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CVBISTN3". If you look at the post itself in an edit function, this is what you will see.
The new link takes you to "http://animeraider.forumotion.com/go/mgld/?d=CVBISTN3", which is a preview page for the link I actually programmed.
I cannot for the life of me see why it would do this. I do not want it to do this. It makes my members think I'm redirecting them to advertising, which I despise. Can we please investigate?
Thanks.

That's probably something on megauploads end, not yours. Find out if they add advertisements to their links.

It is not a megaupload issue - I checked that out before posting here and have checked with other forums I moderate on other services and this issue is not happening there. The link is being changed INSIDE forumotion. The "Megaupload.com CVBISTN3" is what is being shown on the page before anyone clicks on it.
One of my members tells me he's seen it in other forumotion forums as well. This is a very recent issue - 6 hours ago it wasn't like this.

Re: url links being directed to a preview page - I do not want this
Yeah same thing happening to me... and it's annoying... I wonder why people would even suggest this feature on forumotion in the first place.
@KingOfSports: this is the example
Megaupload
Mediafire
Rapidshare
They used to display the description word we input, not a partial parts of both the file hosting link.com and the final part/code of the links.
Hope this won't stay forever, it really screws up the formatting as well.
Thanks...

Re: url links being directed to a preview page - I do not want this
Well, it's changed. Now we're getting the link, but with a portion of a close tag. For example:
is coming through as:
Which renders the link unclickable. I even saw it happen when I tried to create this post - I had to add the quotes to prevent it. The link below has no quotes and the /a> shows up anyway. . Any progress to be made?

For those of us that are innocent, why do we have to pay the price?!!?
The only thing(s) that I have uploaded to MediaFire, including my members are stuff from an innocent game called, Sims 2.

I don't know.
All I know is that ForuMotion is trying to help prevent Illegal downloads across the internet.
It's not up to me, nor is it my discretion, nor is it anyone from the English board's digression - It's the technician's choice to put it there and it'll be up to their discretion to remove it.
