Can I get a recent threads box on my forum?

I've been on some forums (not forummotion forums so I don't know if it would be possible here) where they have a box on the forums index page with all the recent threads in there just showing what has recently been posted on the forum. I was wondering if there was a way I could get that on my forum?

yes you can go to administrator panel>> modules >> portal management >> find recent topic widget >> drag and drop where you want it.

ON the actual forum, then you need to add it in the forum widgets.
