Can I make thumbnails to put beside inside thread headers?

I'm changing my site up with a new design, much needed and I would like to be able to somehow add thumbnail pictures beside some of the threads.

My site is based around the game Sims3, which a simulation game and people upload their creations to the site, however this can get to be a bit much and I thought if by each topic thread for each uploaded sim, I could somehow post or make it possible for them to post a thumbnail pic in the same line/

I think I have totally confused myself with this question...

Anyone? I'm really trying to update my forum and my forum look. I could really use some help please.

I only highlighted and made it bold so you could see where I'm trying to put the actual image. I hope I'm not doing anything wrong.
Usually I can figure these things out for myself but I'm stumped on this one.

Moderators: Evie, Zeri------So this would be the main page on the forum...and individual thread. What I'm wanting to do is making it so when you click this it gives you the list of post in that particular thread. This is where I want the thumbnail pictures.

Then once you see the thumbnail if you decide you want to see whats inside of the actual thread you just open the thread up or you can move along to the next post which will contain a thumbnail view as well.

Is no one even going to attempt to help me with this? I know this is going to take someone with some awesome html skills...which I don't have the 'awesome' part myself...but I've not even got one reply...

My forum is the type of forum that this will really really aid my members and guest with...it's so important...so if anyone has the time to even look into this for me I will be so appreciative.

Okay, I don't EXACALY understand what you're asking but from what it seems you either want little thumbnails next to the title of each individual thread or next to the image on the topic or next to people's names.

Here are answers to the three interputation I have gotten:

Click "Spoiler" to view a sample picture

1. Next to each thread
If you want to add a little Sims 3 thumbnail next to each individual thread in a certain topic, then that would not be possible, or it would be very hard.

Spoiler:

If that's what you mean, that would mean that for each reply posted in a certain topic, it would have your little thumbnail. The reason this way is not possible is because You can only have a pre-set list of thumbnails to choose from.

Unless you wish to upload individual sim icons for each member to choose from, that option would be out.

2. Thumbnail next to topic in the forum base

If you're looking to add a sims 3 thumbnail next to the topic icons on the forum base, that would use the exact same principal as option #1

Also, if you're looking for this, you would have to upload a pre-set gallery of thumbnails for your members to choose from as they post the topic.

3. If you're looking to post Sims 3 thumbnails around the forum, (like for the "Who is online" area or other locations on the board), you can simply go into your Admin Panel>Display>Pics Management>Simple>[and complete as shown]

I'm thrilled that someone replied!!

The last example is the closest to what I'm talking about. It would be each indiviual thread...but I want the members to be able to post a thumbnail pic of their Sim more 'beside' where you have 'not now'. I will give a link to a website that offers what I'm talking about and see if this makes it a little easier.

Is it just me or is this response meant to be a little sarcastic? Maybe I'm reading it wrong... I've had a rough couple of days and it's only getting more worse by the hour. Hopefully I'm just reading this wrong. Won't bother you guys again.

Alright, if you wanted to post little sims 3 icons next to people's posts, you will have to upload a pre-set gallery. So could could allow people to CHOOSE an image from a list for their topic. It's not exactly what you wanted but it's close.

Just go to Admin Panel > Display > Pics Management > Advanced > Topics Icons

I am also still researching to see if you can add it in via HTML or CSS coding. Please wait....

I have tried most CSS and HTML coding on my site to see if I can add thumbnails next to post threads, and the results come out negative. It is not possible for normal members to post their OWN thumbnail next to their post. However, as I said before, you could upload a pre-set gallery of images for the members to choose from, so members would not choose their own, they would choose from a list that you put together. Let me know if you need any help with that.

I appreciate all the hard work you have put into this for me. Making a gallery of pre set Sims would not really work out. I would need them to post a pic of the Sim they have uploaded to the site for download...so that would be per individual thumbnail per person.

I'm really disappointed and really wish I could find an easier way to sort through the downloads. I get more and more and it's going to become big mess if I can't get some organization to it.

Would be nice if maybe I could make like a slide show or something maybe that I could sticky at the top of the thread and just add a picture as each new sim is downloaded.

Any suggestions? Anything would be helpful and most appreciated.
