Password-Protected Topics?

My friends are asking me if it's possible for certain Topics to be Password protected so no one will read them. Are those possible?

I'm not sure about topics, but I know you can do so with forums.

Go to the Admin Panel>>General>>Categories and Forums (under Forum). Click on the symbol for the forum you want and modify the permissions of who can read/write messages there (admin, mods, members, etc)

Maybe that's what he meant...? Or did he mean individually?

It IS possible for individuals, but you have to make a separate group for them. So you choose who can view the forum, and create a separate group for them, then when editing the permissions (like what I just told you) you can allow only that group to read/post

I think he meant an actual password, in which case is not possible.
