User Group Empty User Group

Post by Clone Killer July 17th 2010, 10:30 pm

I would like to make a user group only able to view and reply in a specific forum.

What I mean is the member of this user group can not view/reply to the rest of the different forums expect for the forum I choose.

Goto ADMIN CONTROL PANEL --> General --> Categories and Forums -->
Then on the right side of your forum click on the permissions to edit it.
The one with an X(red)/Tick(green)

Hello,

Have you disallowed it so that everyone but the group/s you want can't see it?
Did you save it?

Then only select one at a time by pressing the square under the "read" column.

Bobby, so what your telling me is that you can see the staff room here, yet I cannot?
The staff here have it set so that only staff (Set via a option of groups) can see the staff room, anyone who is not in those groups cannot see the staff room.

Clone, so the moment you click any button it select that entire row? User Group 78754

Can you try doing it via http://anonymouse.org/ and see if it's still happening please?

Maybe you don't under stand.

I want a user group only to view and reply to a specific board. I don't want that use group able to view any other boards.

You will have to have a board for everyone to see unfortunately.
Just have 1 board which which everyone would be able to see (soley for this purpose!) and have the permissions that you can add someone into a group which you have changed the permissions for every forum so that that group cannot see the boards, but can only see 1 board.
