My png banner isn't transparent when it should be???

Post by Parrot on July 23rd 2010, 4:11 am

Okay, I have a PNG file with a TRANSPARENT background. Here it is:

http://shiningepiphany.com/images/seflt.png

I set that as my logo image but it's not showing up as transparent?

My forum: http://shiningepiphany.users-board.net/forum.htm

Any ideas on how to fix this???

I used Gimp 2 to make the banner, if that's what you are referring to.

The problem is with the image. The flare is too big and it goes off the image.

I believe so.

How would that cause a problem with the transparent part of the image? I don't care if the flare is cut off, I just want the dark colors to blend together.

What do you mean? My image is already transparent.

I used Gimp to create the logo.

well if the flare is cut of the image will abruptly end causing that problem. It's just bad image editing, it's not Forumotion's fault.
