Intellectual Property Question. Empty Intellectual Property Question.

Post by gritinc July 27th 2010, 8:34 pm

Hello, I work for a sporting goods company that has just set up its first forum. We are considering putting a section in the forum which would allow aspiring sports designers to converse with the design team at our company, to get them to critique their designs and possibly even submit it to develop the product. Before we do this however, we are setting up a non-disclosure agreement between the members with which we would be communicating, so that no members can legally steal one another's ideas, whether or not they are patented.

However, because I remember what happened with facebook technically owning all Ip which is posted on their site, what kind of claim does Forummotion have on what is posted in forums it helped create? Also, assuming that the company doesn't own what our users will post, what kind of technical safeguards could one put into place to keep peoples ideas from being stolen?

Thank you! I can honestly say that I am quite impressed with this forum creation site. We were able to create pretty much exactly what we wanted our forum to be, so thank you Forummotion.

Your best bet to answer this question would be Typlo.
You require one more post to be able to send PM's. You can PM Typlo.
