"Facebook Connect" trouble! Empty "Facebook Connect" trouble!

Post by fred100 July 27th 2010, 11:44 pm

Okay , So I followed EXACT tutorial given by Typlo , and Everything's working fine , except for the Facebook invite!
When I tried testing it , It came up as this error

"Errors while loading page from application
Runtime errors:

fb:request-form: Required attribute "type" not found in node fb:request-form"

Here's my whole profile template
Spoiler:

I've even replaced the block
Code:
<dl>
    <dt><label>{L_NEW_PASSWORD}&nbsp;: *</label></dt>
    <dd>
            <input type="password" name="new_password" value="{NEW_PASSWORD}" class="inputbox" />

<span class="italic">{L_PASSWORD_IF_CHANGED}</span>
    </dd>
</dl>
by
Code:
<dl>
  <dt><label>{L_NEW_PASSWORD}&nbsp;: *</label></dt>
  <dd>
                <input type="password" name="new_password" value="{NEW_PASSWORD}" class="inputbox left" />
      <div id="cont_pwd">
        <div class="pwd_img" id="pwd_bad" >{BAD_LEVEL_PWD}</div>
        <div class="pwd_img" id="pwd_middle" >{GOOD_LEVEL_PWD}</div>
        <div class="pwd_img" id="pwd_good" >{STRONG_LEVEL_PWD}</div>
      </div>
      <div class="clear"></div>
      <span class="italic">{L_PASSWORD_IF_CHANGED}</span>
  </dd>
</dl>
And have done all the things necessary , and followed the steps AGAIN , but can't seem to do it!
My forum's PunBB one ,

Any ideas how I fix this?

I passed the problem to Typlo, so you'll need to wait for his answer.

This didn't work for me but you guys can try it.

EDIT: I figured it out, at least for me. I did http://www... but I looked at my site and www was not there. I took it out and voila, it worked! Basically, make sure your Connect URL (on the Connect tab) is 100% correct and it should get rid of the nasty error message.

I had same trouble with mine but figured it out after reading this page.

1. Name
2. Make sure to fill in site url like this http://www.yoursite.com/
3. Copy and paste App ID into the correct field as the instructions say to.
4. Preview Forum and test

Mine worked out fine after I looked into my FB Developer Dash Board and looked at the first try, I noticed I did not have the www. in my url.
As for the BLank White page that happens sometimes Facebook has been updating and cleaning a lot of things lately and are very strict on their policies.

I hope this helps some of you out if you need some help just message me.
