Email not valid error
I purchased a domain name through Forumotion. Upon receiving confirmation via email I created 2 of the 10 email addresses provided. I then attempted to change the default Admin email account to the new email. It will not permit this change. I receive the following error;
"So that the sending of email works correctly, the email used for the forum must be valid".
The email account is valid and working as I have tested it by sending and receiving emails from another email.

Re: Email not valid error
It won't take such email addresses ending in @xyz.com

Re: Email not valid error
I'm sorry but I do not understand what you mean. The email I had been using was xxxx@yahoo.com.
Re: Email not valid error
So what are you talking about the domain name addresses?

Re: Email not valid error
Let me see if I can explain this. I began my forum as a subdomain under forumotion. At that time I used my yahoo email account to receive emails notifications from the forum for new members and such. I then purchased a domain through forumotion. As a result, I am provided with the ability to create 10 email accounts with the ending address @repairbotsonline.com. I create the first part of the email address. To be more specific, I have created the email address admin@repairbotsonline.com. I am attempting to use this email address as the default forum email address via ACP > Generalities > emails and contacts form. However, I receive the error noted in my first post above. The email address is working as I have both sent and received emails via admin@repairbotsonline.com
Edit; I have since attempted to use one of the other email addresses I created of the 10 I had and had no problem setting it to the default.
This really makes no sense to me. Why should the first few letters of the email address make any difference. If I use the email address joel1964@repairbotsonline.com it works. If I use admin@repairbotsonline.com it doesn't. Both emails are valid and both work in other circumstances.
