Hot Topics are made hot by having a lot of post.

lol, as Mario said.. you can't make hot threads..
when a topic has more than "x" [20 i guess] number of posts, its considered a hot topic

Hello friends, I had the same issue with nememo, I just want to help to make it clear about what nememo wants.

Probably he mean are the numbers of topics list that have the most respond by many forum members and the numbers of topics that have most respond, nememo wants to be shown in portal page just like the latest topics.

Could someone help me with this issue too? Thank you

Hi, i think its facilities is just in vbulletin. (donate, quick reply)
if about hot topics in your portal you can add it sure :
ACP > Modules > Portal Management > Structure > and you can add widget most active topics in your portal.
or you can update it manually by html
