Hello to forumotion!

Post by Klutz on August 21st 2010, 2:11 pm

Hello to the team @ Forumotion!
I'm increasing my post count so I can PM a moderator about an issue I have.

I'm Terry from Kent in the UK I'm a web designer and I used to have a forum hosted here.
Actually it still exists, some time last year I was hacked, and I never got the account recovered.

When I created the forum, I had an email address which no longer works (sirkaper@exy.ej.am) and since I was hacked, my forum has been inactive.

I know its been a long time but I don't want that forum to be removed.

I want to recover my account and try to revive that forum.

Awaiting a reply Smile

So you are saying you, lost your password due to hacking.

Follow this to find your password: http://help.forumotion.com/for-founders-who-lost-their-passwords-t42285.htm

And here is for hacking: http://help.forumotion.com/frequently-asked-questions-f5/my-forum-was-hacked-t75418.htm

And also check this to see if you can access this: http://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/

Oh be sure when it says to contact Typlo, TELL HIM THE ENTIRE STORY!

Hope I helped! Wink

Hi,

Also it would be smarter to introduce yourself via the Member Introduction thread available in the General Discussion, and your problem here.

I did introduce myself over there, but I thought it would be rude to state my problem without anybody knowing who I am or what I do, since I literally just created this account.

I'm currently waiting for a reply from typlo, and thanks for the advice guys Wink

if you use the utilities link provided above you may not need typlo to reply.
you have to log in with the original email and pass the forum was created with.. it should not matter if they where changed befor or not.

but if that dose not work then yes you will have to wait for typlo to reply.
so it wont hurt to try

I have successfully logged into utilities. The problem is, the admin account that I created the forum with, has an expired email address, which I cannot change. So therefor I cannot reset the forum admin account. Help!
