Alright I'm having trouble with a member

Well I run, or rather help run the RP site Divided Arms. We starte off pretty good, with a good staff, and everything. Well we thought we did at first. It turns out one of our members who's user name was Judge started abusing his powers, and threating people with banning, taking of their status in the rp, and basically ruining the site for all members. So me, and Warren (site Webmaster) had a talk with him. He promised us he wouldn't cause anymore problems. So we took his word on the matter. Then a week later he starts doing it again so we removed him from adminship. He wasn't happy about for awhile yet all the other members were happy to see this. It was quiet for a little while, before he created a new character, and started to bring up ideas that weren't what other members wanted or that didn't match up with the RP at all. So we had to give him a good number of no's or maybe's. He wasn't happy with this as well, so he started to spam up the Chat box by being a total jerk to everyone within the chat box, and pressuring people into joining his side in the rp at the threat of destroying their character. So we gave him a warning to stop. He ignore our warning, and started to talk back to staff, he threatened us, he even ordered us around like he was in control of our site.

So we banned him from the site after breaking more than 10 of our site rules. Once we did this however he wanted us to clear our forum of everything that was his idea. We were, and still are which of course but he's threating us with having our site closed down by you guys. He's saying he has legal rights to close us down for his ideas, and that he should be unbanned to save our site from being closed down. We have over 60 to 70 members who enjoy our site, and the rp, but right now they are all afraid of what this one member is going to do. They are deadly afraid of losing everything they have worked on such as characters, and their ideas.

So the thing I'd like help with is this member threating our site to be closed down. We if you wish for more info or a link to our site for proof you can PM me, I'll get all you need or give the link to check out and talk to a few of our members.

We see many of these questions eatch day, i have not heard of anybody who gets their site destroyed..

I'm a member of this site, and this is what i pretty much said...

"Judge" did it to himself. He started problems with everyone, and was left with a ban in the end. Same thing that happens to many people out there. Then just like those many people, came back with threats to unban him or the site is going down. Something i have seen over and over again and never gets old. He began bringing Forummotion into this by saying he had legal rights to get the site closed down in 2 days unless they unbanned him before then. Legal rights as in he was apparently harassed in multiple ways that Forummotion doesn't allow, and that for having his "Ideas" on the site, he can use that against us as well unless we got rid of them. At the time he gave the ideas to the site, he was just a good ole admin helping create the site. Thats it. He gave the ideas to the site, under control of the site, and never made any agreement that they would stay under his own control, so it's his loss with it. To me, thats pretty much finding a cure for cancer, giving the idea of it to someone, then taking it back because they made him mad long after the idea was given. Nor did he have any type of copyright over the ideas, or any type of agreement that would allow him to force them out of the site if he was ever banned.

So yea, it's his loss. (Even though the site removed his ideas anyway)

Hi I am not being nosey or any thing but i am a member on that site but not for every long just about one or two days but already a member Named Ranarok "Judge" started to be a jerk in Chat Box. I know it is nothing but still he broke a rule being disrepectful to me just because I got his Place in an Order and started moaning about the fact a Topic area for other members to talk with one another was his idea and he can control it with his so called "powers". For as long as i have been on this site all i have heard about is how Judge is being a jerk and or stuff and as I will not name other members that were in this, Judge was Banned for a Vaild reason.

Also he has been trying to make Admins feel sorry for him and is try to make them to unban him.

You should have him IP and E-Mail banned. But, lets wait for some staff for this topic. Breaking your rules should do for a reason.

Yes that is the Problem Staff have banned him and he is Threating to make up fake reason to get are site shut down. I know i am not a member of staff on the site but even i have tried to reason with him and get him to rethink his Situation.

I am a staff member of the site (one he particularly doesn't like cause I'm the one who hit him with the Ban Hammer =P)

He has been IP banned, and the original plan was to do it for only a few days, but faster than you could blink, he started making obscene threats to shut us down, claiming that I flamed him and harassed him and abused me power over him in the C-box. All of which I have other staff and members to deny. This man is just one of those people who doesn't like things to not go their way, and this situation certainly did not go his way.

As of right now, he is attempting to guilt trip his way into the site again. But obviously the attempts have gotten him no where. He also threatened to "break my jaw if he knew where I lived" (a fellow staff member copied the conversation and pasted it onto the Divided Arms chatbox) It's all one huge mess, but our members have calmed down slightly after hearing how he is breaking down about this whole thing. It is just one huge crappy soap opera that really needs to be resolved. If this problem (this being the problem stated in Anderson's post above) can be resolved, the whole thing will be twenty times easier to deal with.

If you don't have anything that breaks the TOS, then why worry?

Sanket, their just overreacting a bit....there wasn't really any need for all of this. I've been with forumotion for years and i see it all the time XD, but others may be a bit new to it and think something will actually happen.

The problem is solved and there is nothing to worry about anymore.
