Solved BBCode Tooltip for Images

Post by drachemeister on August 27th 2010, 12:09 am

Does anybody know the code for putting a tooltip on images? I need one for the rewards system I'm going to be adding to my Forum.

There isn't a BBcode for a tooltip menu. This type of thing is usually achieved by JavaScript.

I'm not looking for a menu. I'm just looking for the code that makes text appear when you hover the pointer over an image.

This is achieved using BBCode. Hover over the image:

Um.... find the post where I gave the tooltip example. Locate the button above the post content with the label of "Quote". Click it. Wink

Okay. I see the BBCode. Does that work with ANY image? I need the simple, GENERIC BBCode for it.

Drach,

He's using the WOW tags to call a script on a gaming site. It's my understanding that is the purpose of the WOW tags; I haven't seen it used before.

The script is located here: http://lootup.rouks.net/ If you look at the box on the top right, you can see how it is used there. You would have to have access on that site to make any changes other than the text between the WOW tags.

Dion, stop posting in this thread. Either that, or post the GENERIC form of the BBCode hover code. I don't need something from a WoW page. I need the GENERIC code. If you're not going to post the GENERIC code, you're just spamming this thread.

Nice job Dion, only you could figure out something like that. Razz

How did you do that exactly?

OK, I'll stop posting in this topic.

Good luck with your search for a GENERIC code. You're going to need it.

Honestly, I shouldn't deserve a warning for anything. He's spamming this thread. I asked for the GENERIC code, and he posted something completely different. If anything, you and HIM deserve the warning. After all, isn't spamming a thread against the rules?

I didn't give you a warning. I said continue to flame him you will end up with one. I don't see how he is spamming this topic when he was giving support to you and others. You didn't tell him that you aren't looking for this but instead you tell him off. Last thing, Don't report me. I don't see how this would solve the problem. It just makes you look bad. I will now lock this topic.
