I made a favicon

And we tried leaving the link as tiny pic made it, and tried changing it to .gif ending, but neither of them made it animated.

Last time I checked, you can't have an animated favicon.

Well I did have one a while ago, and it worked. That was like 6 months ago...

Edit: I just tested it, and apparently its only animated on firefox... (no extensions)

Servimg tends to randomly change the file type to .jpg.

Well I used tinypic, which for all images ends in .png, but no matter what you change it to doesnt matter.

You can't just change the file extension to whatever you want. You have to upload it as a .gif also I noticed that if the URL is to long it will cut it out. I guess there is a character limit on image URL's for the forum. So make sure you upload it to your default album on photobucket.

I use photobucket and have an animated favicon and have no problems. I do use firefox though. I just checked and it doesn't show up in Internet explorer. I just get the generic explorer favicon..

As suggested above I would try using another image hosting company such as photobucket.

I don't think Firefox reads .ico, it's an Internet Explorer specific file type if I'm not mistaken.

Even if it's not, you shouldn't worry about Internet Explorer, it sucks. I think in the next two to three years everyone will be using Firefox or Chrome anyway.

It works on Firefox Wink I personally hate IE, but many people still are forced to use it.

Well we talked about this before. Supposedly IE9 is suppose to be a huge upgrade. Either way I think it is a fail.
