Help With Chaning The Nav Bar Background

Hello all i just got a new nav bar like this one
and i would like to know how do i get my nav bar to show up with the sides like that?
my current one that got made he has given me the background to it and i don't know how to change the background of the nav bar

I pasted it in my Css but i didn't work
i'm wondering if i paste my whole forum css in the css box and then paste that would that work?

Okay. i did it from the templates and css
go to ACP - Display - Templates - General - Overall_Header - Find "Menu" with CTRL + F and add "id="navbar-bg" efter "<table" e.g
Save and publish.
Now go to the CSS and add this code there.
Save and see how it looks. if there is any problem tell me :d.
here is an example: http://thepcworld.forumotion.com/forum.htm

Save and see how it looks. if there is any problem tell me :d.

I don't know what to do if i could change my forum Css i would add it there but i cant so i don't know what to do either

Okay got it :d but only the founder can access the template so you must do that self and i will do the css

Ok now the problem is can i move it up a little bit the buttons don't fit on the bar itself so they look kind of funny or do i have to make new ones
